FAQS

Will I feel sore after?

It is normal to feel a bit tender for 24 hours, similar to the feeling after a good workout, as the muscle knots have been released.

A muscle contraction occurs when muscle fibers remain chronically tensed and fail to relax. This usually happens due to sudden physical strain, prolonged bad posture (like slouching over a laptop), or emotional stress. The lack of blood flow creates a hard, painful lump (myogelose or knot) that accumulates lactic acid and compresses local nerve endings.

We strongly advise against heavy workouts for 24 hours post-treatment. During a de-contracting massage, we apply concentrated therapeutic force to alter the tone of hyper-strained muscles. Your body needs a resting window to process the released metabolic waste and repair the muscle fibers safely without immediate re-injury.

If the knot is fresh, a single targeted session can offer massive or complete relief. However, if you have carried a chronic knot for months or years, the surrounding tissue has adapted to that restriction. It typically requires an intensive plan of 3 to 4 targeted sessions spaced one week apart to thoroughly break down the old fibers and restore complete mobility.
