FAQS

From which week of pregnancy is it completely safe to book a prenatal massage?

For maximum safety, we welcome expectant mothers from the second trimester onwards (starting at week 13). We do not perform prenatal massages during the first trimester (weeks 1 to 12) due to the delicate nature of early embryonic implantation. From week 13 up until your due date, it is completely safe and highly beneficial.

We do not use massage tables with belly holes, as medical research shows they can cause the maternal abdomen to sag, putting dangerous pressure on the uterine ligaments and lower back. Instead, we utilize the safest, most comfortable medical protocol: side-lying positioning. You are fully cushioned and supported by specialized plush pillows, keeping your spine perfectly aligned and your baby completely safe.

For a natural, uncomplicated birth, you can safely return for a postpartum massage after 6 weeks, once your initial postpartum medical checkup is clear. If you delivered via a C-section (keizersnede), we require a minimum waiting window of 8 to 10 weeks to ensure your deep abdominal incisions have thoroughly healed. Postpartum care is fantastic for releasing shoulder tension caused by holding and nursing your baby.
