FAQS

Should I get a massage right after a race?

A light flushing massage is great immediately after, but for deep tissue recovery, we recommend waiting 24–48 hours.

For pre-event prep, book a light, stimulating sports massage 2 to 3 days before your event or race to increase vascularity and flexibility without leaving your muscles sore. For post-event recovery, the optimal window is 24 to 48 hours after the event, giving your muscle micro-tears a chance to clear initial acute inflammation before we apply deep structural flushing.

Yes. While we do not work directly on the knee joint itself, runner’s knee is almost always caused by severe tension in the quadriceps, gluteus medius, and the tensor fasciae latae (TFL) pulling on the Iliotibial (IT) band. By releasing these dominant thigh muscles, we remove the lateral tracking stress on your kneecap, significantly reducing pain.

Deep Tissue focuses on general, chronic postural tension and full-body structural alignment. Sport Massage is highly localized and functional; it deals with the specific repetitive strains of your specific sport (e.g., shoulders for swimmers, legs for runners), incorporating active joint mobilization and fascial stretching to optimize athletic performance.
